Hello! This is later than I meant it to be, but I'm happy that this post is finally finished! What's it about? Well, the March issue of Egg magazine featured a very interesting article: the infamous Bag Check! If you've never heard of such a thing, a bag check in this case, is where the models show the contents of their purses/handbags. I *love* this kind of article; probably because I think the things you carry around in your bag on a daily basis say a lot about you. So I'm going to show a couple of the bag checks! Oh, and please note that while I did my best, I'm not 100% sure I got everything I outlined from the articles correctly, so if I managed to get something wrong, I apologize in advance. ^_^;;
Last but not least, we have Mirai's check, that examines the contents of not one, but two handbags! Between a lovely white leather handbag and a stylish leopard-print tote bag from popular gal brand One*Spo, an impressive spread of pink items is kept. Among the pink arsenal are her cell phone, a coral pink Nintendo DS (with Tetris in it!), a gift card that was given to her that she hasn't found the right time to use yet, a book featuring Tsubasa Masuwaka that she reads on the train, and two pouches, with the lower one housing the makeup she uses often. Other items include a furry pink portable mirror, Minnie Mouse hand towel, and a pink Hello Kitty schedule book. I give a thumbs up to the cute bunny phone strap and the pink earbuds; cute and useful is a great combo, always!
AND, in addition to all the great looks into these Egg models' handbags, I wanted to include my own bag check! Here's the handbag:
It's a brown-print bag with silver accents, and the print is composed of the words "Faith", "Believe", "Love", and "Family". I tied a scarf I got from Claire's on one of the handle-loops, then added the Card Captor Sakura and Hello Kitty figures to the keychain that came with the bag! It's so spacious and it's pretty durable! I've been very happy with this choice in a handbag. ^ ^
Now, here are all the things I carry around in my bag on a regular basis, and I admit that the weight of my bag has caused many of my friends to start calling it my "luggage". XD But here it is:
~ Bag Check #1 - Nemoyayo ~
First up is Yayoi Nemoto, aka Nemoyayo! According to the article, Nemoyayo is usually okay with just her phone and some other small things, but when she goes out she takes her necessities in the black handbag she's pictured holding on the right, which she bought in Shibuya 109. Highlights among her belongings are the Chanel wallet and keycase, the Mickey Mouse schedule book, and her two cell phones. One of the phones is an iPhone that she uses for work and for music! And I *love* the cute Duffy strap; I need to get myself one of those someday~ It's too cute!
~ Bag Check #2 - Mami ~
Next up is Mami! She carries a very popular and stylish Chanel handbag, and it's always full of things, weighing in at 4.0 kilograms (that's nearly 9 pounds!). Key points among the contents of her bag are two pairs of sunglasses, a shiny white Nintendo DSi for when she gets bored or has to wait, and a "brush set", which is a travel-size toothbrush and toothpaste set she uses after eating out. Plus, check out the three makeup cases she carries; one is for eyeshadows, another is for base makeup, and the third is for other cosmetics. Now that's dedication! Oh, and gotta love how she's got the great Chanel wallet, like Nemoyayo, to match her bag!
~ Bag Check #3 - Mihi ~
Then we have a look in Mihi's bag! With a cute blue leather handbag weighing in at 5.6 kilograms (or about 12 pounds), she carries many small things, including an assortment of accessories (like rings, necklaces, and bracelets), hair products (hair spray, etc.), a couple of Vidal Sassoon curling irons, and a Hello Kitty key case. Also of note is the adorable purple print case bought at SBY (which I'm sure I've heard of somewhere, yes?) that houses her makeup. Score on the Diamond Lash falsies and the music player in its cute pink casing~!
~ Bag Check #4 - Anna ~
Next on my list is Anna, who has earned my envy by being able to show off such a large day bag! Seriously, I kind of NEED a handbag this big in my life. XD Inside she's got two cell phones (the deco'ed one is an iPhone, and the plain one is a Docomo phone), cute Mintia brand breath mint cases, and her giant makeup bag filled with liquid makeups, eyeshadows, and powder. Also check out the cool-looking studded leather wallet and black leather gloves; those are quite edgy and seem awesomely rock-ish to me. ^ ^
